Uluru is a natural monolith (the largest is the world) and stands 318 metres above the plains of the Kata Tjuta National Park. At 2 miles wide and 3 miles long, Ayers Rock is an impressive feature which can be explored in various ways such as a hot-air balloon flight over Uluru, or by taking the 9 mile guided walk around it.
